Pier One Sportfishing is located in the central part of Lake Ontario with Rochester (Genesee River) to our West, and Oswego (Harbor & River) to our East. We have action all season long. Our shoreline structure has several tributaries flowing into the Lake that give us excellent springtime fishing.

Our springtime brown trout fishing is second to none. As the surface warms, we move off-shore pursuing steelhead trout and lake trout. Then, as the thermal clines setup, we start catching trophy salmon (coho, chinooks, and atlantics). We never have a long run to find excellent fishing grounds.

You'll leave the crowds behind when you come to Wolcott. Our small town atmosphere is just right for your getaway; but close enough to fish on all our tributaries.

Charlie has been guiding on Lake Ontario since the mid 70's. He was famous for promoting the great smallmouth bass fishing that Lake Ontario has. Then, when the salmon and trout program came here from Lake Michigan, he capitalized on it. He taught me (Frank) the ropes of fishing and how to take each group of people and let them fully enjoy their trip on the big water.

We customize each trip around the group we have. Families enjoy leaving later in the morning and being dock side early enough to see what the other boats have caught. Some of the other groups like to head out at dusk and try the early troll for trout and salmon.
